Your new hydraulic pump should be included in a comprehensive maintenence schedule for your machine’s entire hydraulic system. Your machine manufacturer should provide you with this, as part of the service manual.
Some things should be monitored daily, like fluid levels, hydraulic lines and noise abnormalities. Other things should be checked weekly or monthly, like the quality and viscosity of fluids.
We advise you adhere to the machine manufacturer’s maintenence schedule, but also that you consider how the machine is being used- for example, think about how many hours the machine is working and in what conditions (environment, operator skill level, etc). Some machine owners will need to increase the amount of maintenence they schedule for their machine.
